This classic portrait of a Victorian feminist is in effect flawlessly: convincing acting, great photography and a lush decor. The story has still not lost its strength. Of any other director we would severely here are impressed. But since Thomas Vinterberg whose name is on the credits we pass by, there is still a – albeit slight – disappointment. Because at Vinterberg you expect double agendas, underlying tensions and coolly suppressed emotions which eventually lead to a memorable climax. Who are in this brave, somewhat sterile boekverfilming not be found.Halina Reijn already knew at the age of six that she wanted to be an actress. “The student ‘is a handsome building, but there excites no punches from the start that the elusive Benny has a magical attraction to Lana. The theme of the tenth series One Night Stand movies is “Clandestine love,” and that blooms early as the second quarter of the film violently on. But the excitement is quickly replaced by fear. Once Lana at her wits matters resuming hands, Benny insists on probing and confrontational manner to her. The powerful this is reflected in the scene in a museum, where Lana thinks its found refuge have. However, Benny pops here and chases her continuously. There seems to be no escape. As a viewer you share this oppressive feeling with the leading lady.
